In the kitchen, we hold the strongest belief that ingredients are the key to the best dishes, and that what you put into your body really makes a difference in terms of wellbeing. Treat the ingredients well and cook with love.

We choose to apply exactly the same logic with our soap making.

We have listed the 3 key ingredients below which make up over 70% of our finished soap bar and we believe these quality ingredients help to deliver the ultimate in self-love for your face and body.

 Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil

  • First pressing of 100% organic ‘Arbequina’ olives

  • Cold extraction method – unrefined

  • No chemicals involved

  • Origin – Spain

  • Contains less than 0.2% acidity

Low acidity has nothing to do with PH acidity and simply refers to a measurement of ‘free fatty acids’ which, in simple terms, means the olives used in the oil are fresh, top quality and have not been damaged or degraded in anyway, so they retain the maximum beneficial skin enhancing qualities.

Olives in their natural state have an acidity level of 0, so the higher the level, the more damage and change has been introduced to the finished oil.

For centuries, extra virgin olive oil has been used on skin to relieve everyday skin conditions and to moisturise. It is packed full of oleic acid which stimulates cell regeneration, has anti-inflammatory, antibacterial and anti-oxidant (anti-ageing) properties.

Extra virgin olive oil contains vitamins A, D, E and K which hydrate the skin by building and protecting the skin’s barrier to prevent loss of moisture. It also contains a multitude of polyphenols which protect against free radicals (dust, smog, pollution, sun etc) which can damage the skin, making extra virgin olive oil effective in aiding common skin disorders such as eczema, acne and psoriasis.  And it smells beautiful too!

Organic Extra Virgin Coconut Oil

  • First pressing of 100% organic virgin coconuts

  • Cold extraction method – unrefined and additive free

  • No chemicals or bleaches involved in extraction

  • Origin – Sri Lanka

Rich in fatty acids, extra virgin coconut oil is great at moisturising the skin as it increases skin elasticity. This seemingly magical oil also contains many antioxidants, especially vitamin E, which means it can protect skin from free radical damage (see above). Coconut oil is high in lauric acid which has antimicrobial properties.

Organic Fairtrade shea butter

  • 100% organic shea nuts from the Karite tree

  • Unrefined and additive free

  • No chemicals involved

  • Origin – Ghana

Naturally contains vitamins A and E. Vitamin A is important for improving a number of skin conditions, including blemishes, wrinkles, eczema and dermatitis. Vitamin E is a powerful antioxidant and is a common anti-ageing ingredient that protects your skin. Suitable for a variety of skin types, it will help your skin to retain its brilliance and elasticity.
